Badrninath Temple is one of the four dhams (chardham) of Devbhoomi. The hindu temple is located in Chamoli district of Devbhoomi and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The other three dhams in Devbhoomi are Gangotri dham, Yamnotri dham and Kedarnath dham.
History of Badrinath Temple: The temple is believed to stalled by Adi Shankaracharyas in ancient history. The Badrinath temple and its surrounding mountains have a mention in Indian mythology scriptures like Mahabharata.
The holy shrine is located on the banks of Alaknanda River. Alaknanda river is a tributary of holy river Ganga.

The temple is open for few months in summers, for remaining months it remains closed.

However, the enroute to Badrinath temple is beautiful with a lot of natural scenery.

It is good to avoid the chardham yatra during rainy season, as this Devbhoomi receives a lot of rains.
